Pop TV Orders Comedy ‘Best Intentions’ From ‘American Pie’ Writer

Pop TV has given an eight-episode series order to the comedy "Best Intentions" from "American Pie" writer Adam Herz. The series, set to begin production in the fall centers around Andy Banks, a kind-hearted but painfully awkward single father who is the guidance counselor at the high school his teenage son Nate currently attends. His never-ending hapless efforts to woo Katie Baxter, a teacher at the school, drag Katie headfirst into her own personal misadventures. "Undateable" alum David Fynn will star in the series alongside Daniel Rashid ("Being Frank") and Lindsey Gort . . .
